Summary of Donations to St Helena Colchester
Viv (and Rachel) received wonderful care from St Helena. The staff and volunteers enabled Viv to die with dignity and free from pain, in an environment where the patient's needs are paramount. When it became clear that Viv would not be able to make a final trip to Scotland, the team brought Scotland to her- projecting images to a big screen (a bed sheet) and bringing a piper to her room. They made her butterscotch angel delight in the middle of the night, allowed Rachel to sleep in the motorhome looking in to her room/ on a camp bed next to her and gave the time needed to tend and care.
